The Influence Discovery Learning Model on Improving Student Learning Outcome on Reaction Rate Material in Grade class XI Senior High School
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Discovery Learning learning model on improving students' chemistry learning outcomes. This study uses 2 classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. In the control class, it is learned using a conventional model, while in the experimental class, it is learned using the Discovery learning model. From the results of the study, the average score after being given a pretest in the control class was 32,63 and the average posttest score in the control class was 76,25. Then in the experimental class, the average score after being given a pretest was 47,63 and the average posttest score in the experimental class was 85,69. Both classes experienced an increase in learning outcomes and the increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class increased higher when compared to the control class.
