Efektivitas LKPD Berbasis Project Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa

Abstract


The research objective was to describe the effectiveness student worksheet Project Based Learning for improving students science process skill. Samples were randomly selected from a population of seventh-grade students at SMPN 31 bandar Lampung in teaching year 2016-2017 where classes of VII B and VII I were chosen as experimental classes. This research method was a type of pre-posstest quasi experimental design. Data pretest, posttest and n-Gain scores were analyzed descriptively to elucidate the improvement of students science process skills. The practicality of learning process and the student activity at both experimental classes was observed by two-peer science teachers. Result showed that the averaged n-Gain value of each experimental classes was 0,70 which belonged to high category. Based on n-Gain value it could be concluded that student worksheet Project Based Learning was very effective to improve students science process skills.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keefektifan LKPD berbasis Project Based Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Pemilihan sampel penelitian dilakukan secara random dari populasi siswa kelas VII SMPN 31 Bandar lampung tahun ajaran 2016-2017, sehingga diperoleh kelas VII B dan VII I sebagai sampel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-posttest. Analisis data meliputi hasil pretes, postes dan n-Gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa secara deskriptif. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan aktivitas siswa pada kelas eksperimen 1 dan 2 diobservasi oleh dua guru sains. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata n-gain masing-masing kelas eksperimen 0,70 dengan kriteria tinggi. Berdasarkan rata-rata n-Gain disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis Project Based Learning sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa.
