Journal History

Jurnal Pembelajaran Fisika (Journal of Physics Learning) was first published in July 2012 with p-ISSN number of 2302-0105, and now has e-ISSN number of 2684-9828. In the beginning, JPF contained articles in the field of Physics and Physics Learning which were published periodically every 4 months, but in some volumes published it was not in accordance with periodicals. This was because the initial purpose of JPF was formed to facilitate the publication of articles on Physics Education Study Program students as a graduation requirement.

Along with the development of the University of Lampung, as a JPF publishing agency which in 2017 became a research based university, JPF began to commit and to improve journal quality both in management and substance. Now JPF is a media of publication for researchers, lecturers, teachers, education practitioners, and students, who come from any institution, both national and international. JPF also changes the scope and focus to be more specific related to issues of innovation in physics learning which include evaluation and assessment, media development (multimedia) and physics learning design involving ICT, oriented inquiry-based learning, STEM Education, Scientific Approach, blended learning, and mobile learning.

Starting in 2018, JPF committed to only publishing high-quality articles. To maintain the quality of articles to be published, JPF tightens the process of accepting articles by changing the period of journal publishing to 2 times a year (every 6 months), namely June and December. JPF has also worked with several physics education experts from various institutions / universities nationally to become JPF editors and reviewers. Therefore, the editorial team and reviewers of JPF experienced changes, which initially only involved local editors and reviewers, now involving national level editors and reviewers, from various agencies and provinces. JPF also makes adjustments and improvements to the writing of articles, ranging from sirahan format, identity of the author, systematic writing of abstracts, citation and reference writing, as well as the substance elements of the article to be published, all clearly and completely described in the JPF template. JPF was first published using Bahasa Indonesia, but since 2019 volume 7 number 1 all articles were published in English version. JPF become a CrossRef Member since the year 2019. Therefore, all articles published will have a unique DOI number, beginning from Vol. 7 No. 1 (2019).

Jurnal Pembelajaran Fisika has been ACCREDITED in Grade 3 (SINTA 3) based on Decree of the Director-General of Research and Development, The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education No. 91/E/KPT/2019.
