EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK TALK WRITE DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS

Abstract


This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning of think talk write type in terms of students mathematical communication skill. The design which was used was posttest only control design. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII of Junior High School 1 Kalianda in academic year of 2015/2016. The samples of this research were students of VIIIB and VIIID class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of students mathematical communication skill were obtained by essay test. Based on the result and discussion, it was concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning of think talk write type was effective in terms of students mathematical communication skill.

Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kalianda tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIB dan VIIID yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa diperoleh melalui tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.
