PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM MODEL KONKUREN DALAM MEMPERSIAPKAN CALON GURU PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI

Abstract


Teaching to Young Learners Education (PG PAUD) Curriculum consists of a number of courses that contain academic and pedagogic studies. However, the chairman of the study program and the lecturers has high authority in developing this, so it was never known how the extent of integration of the concurrent principle that occurs in the implementation. This study aimed to describe the concurrent model of curriculum development of Teaching to Young Learners Education curriculum structure and analyze the performance of the chairman of study program as well as lecturers in implementing the curriculum. This study involved one chairman of study program, 31 professors, and 110 students. This study used a descriptive method with data collection techniques of observation, documentation, and interviews. Data were analyzed by using percentage. The results showed that the overall structure of the Teaching to Young Learners Education Curriculum is in conformity with the principles of concurrent models of curriculum, but in the implementation stage turns this curriculum model applies only to courses that are practical course and other courses oriented toward mastery of academic content or pedagogical content is fragmentary.

Kurikulum Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PG PAUD) terdiri dari sejumlah mata kuliah tentang kajian akademik dan pedagogik. Meskipun demikian, ketua program studi dan dosen memiliki otoritas yang tinggi dalam mengembangkannya sehingga tidak pernah diketahui secara terbuka sejauh mana keterpaduan prinsip konkuren itu terjadi dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan kurikulum model konkuren pada struktur kurikulum PG PAUD dan analisis kinerja ketua program studi serta dosen dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum tersebut. Penelitian ini melibatkan satu orang ketua program studi, 31 dosen, dan 110 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda desktiptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum struktur kurikulum PG PAUD sudah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip kurikulum model konkuren, tetapi pada tataran implementasi ternyata model kurikulum ini hanya berlaku untuk mata kuliah yang bersifat praktik saja, sedangkan mata kuliah lainnya berorientasi pada penguasaan konten akademik atau konten pedagogik secara terpisah-pisah.
