Minimum Qualification (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in regards to grades, and employment so on) at the preceding degree in the proper branch, with a great scholastic record in all preceding degrees. For a fresh Ph.D, the position will be on agreement basis for the first 3 years, and can be regularized afterwards. For those with three or more years of post-PhD teaching/research/industrial experience, regular appointment can be made.
The Institute follows appointment in direct recruitment based on the arrangements of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers' Cadre) Act, 2019. The current special drive ad is to fill 56 backlog jobs in reserved categories till 31st December 2024.

Other details:
1. The pay carries all other allowances as admissible to a Central Government staff member stationed at Kanpur.
2. The advantages, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transport allowance, children education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone bills, book grants, HRA (if housing not offered), research initiation grant (approximately Rs 25 lakhs with the arrangement to look for a supplementary grant) and financial backing towards nationwide and international conferences shall be allowed based on the Institute standards.
3. From its internal resources, the Institute offers an additional top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- per month for the first 3 years of service to the recently signed up with professors members. After three years of service, the professor(s) are qualified for factor to consider for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for faculty of age upto 40 years) providing a top-up wage of Rs.15,000/- each month for three years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up income of Rs 25,000/- monthly for employment three years. Both the positions are provided based upon efficiency.
4. Traveling allowance for signing up with: The Institute will compensate international travel costs for the recently joined professor and reliant member of the family to the maximum limitation of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel reimbursement will be based on government guidelines.
5. The Institute strives to offer real estate to all professor. Your houses are geared up with complimentary high-speed internet.
6. Mere eligibility will not entitle a candidate for being required interview.
