If you do not set up the Enable internet search in Copilot plan, web search is available to customers by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you set the Permit the use of additional optional linked experiences in Office plan to Handicapped.

Copilot Conversation is currently pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, Teams, and Outlook for many users that are qualified for Copilot Chat across the internet, mobile, and desktop computer.

If you formerly picked 'Do not pin Copilot to the navigation bar' in the Microsoft 365 admin facility and likewise unchecked the 'Allow customers to be asked whether they wish to pin it' choice, your setup setup is 'Do not pin' and your customers still won't have Copilot pinned in their navigation bar.

The Allow web search in Copilot policy also permits you to take care of web look for users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot certificate.
