If you do not set up the Allow internet search in Copilot policy, web search is available to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you set the Allow the usage of extra optional connected experiences in Office policy to Impaired.

Copilot Conversation is now pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Teams, and Expectation for many individuals that are qualified for Copilot Chat throughout the internet, mobile, and desktop computer.

Admins can also alter the pinning setups of Copilot Conversation for individuals in Microsoft Teams with the Groups admin center: Appoint an application setup plan with Copilot Chat in the pinned apps to individuals with an Entra account.

The Allow internet search in Copilot policy also allows you to manage internet search for users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot permit.
