If you don't set up the Enable internet search in Copilot policy, web search is available to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you set the Permit the use of extra optional linked experiences in Workplace policy to Impaired.

Copilot Chat is currently pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Teams, and Expectation for a lot of customers who are eligible for Copilot Chat throughout the web, mobile, and desktop computer.

Admins can also transform the pinning setups of Copilot Conversation for individuals in Microsoft Teams via the Groups admin facility: Appoint an application configuration plan with Copilot Chat in the pinned applications to users with an Entra account.
