If you do not set up the Permit web search in Copilot policy, internet search is readily available to customers by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you establish the Allow the use of extra optional connected experiences in Office policy to Handicapped.

Copilot Conversation is now pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Teams, and Overview for the majority of individuals who are qualified for Copilot Conversation throughout the internet, mobile, and desktop.

If you previously chose 'Do not pin Copilot to the navigation bar' in the Microsoft 365 admin center and also untreated the 'Permit customers to be asked whether they want to pin it' option, your setting setup is 'Do not pin' and your customers still will not have copilot student login pinned in their navigation bar.
