If you do not set up the Allow internet search in Copilot policy, web search is available to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you establish the Permit the usage of added optional connected experiences in Workplace policy to Impaired.

Copilot Conversation is now pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Teams, and Expectation for the majority of individuals who are qualified for Copilot Chat throughout the internet, mobile, and desktop computer.

Admins can also transform the pinning settings of Copilot Chat for users in Microsoft Teams through the Groups admin facility: Appoint an app arrangement policy with copilot client portal pricing Chat in the pinned apps to users with an Entra account.

The Allow internet search in Copilot plan also allows you to handle internet search for customers with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. To ensure people throughout your organization have very easy accessibility to Copilot Chat and can benefit from its security and experience updates, we suggest that your users have Microsoft 365 Copilot Conversation pinned to their navigating bar.
