If you do not configure the Enable web search in copilot client portal pricing plan, internet search is available to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you set the Enable the use of extra optional connected experiences in Office policy to Impaired.

Copilot Chat is currently pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Teams, and Outlook for the majority of customers who are qualified for Copilot Chat across the internet, mobile, and desktop computer.

Admins can also change the pinning setups of Copilot Conversation for individuals in Microsoft Teams through the Teams admin center: Designate an app arrangement plan with Copilot Conversation in the pinned apps to customers with an Entra account.

To help boost the high quality of feedbacks, Copilot Conversation can make use of web search queries sent out to the Bing search service to ground reactions in the most up to date details from the internet.
