If you do not configure the Enable internet search in Copilot plan, internet search is available to individuals by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you set the Enable the usage of extra optional connected experiences in Workplace policy to Handicapped.

Copilot Conversation is currently pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 copilot studio portal login application, Groups, and Outlook for most customers who are qualified for Copilot Conversation across the web, mobile, and desktop.

If you formerly chose 'Do not pin Copilot to the navigating bar' in the Microsoft 365 admin center and also unchecked the 'Permit individuals to be asked whether they want to pin it' choice, your setting configuration is 'Do not pin' and your individuals still will not have Copilot pinned in their navigation bar.

The Enable web search in Copilot policy additionally enables you to manage web search for individuals with a Microsoft 365 Copilot permit.
