If you don't set up the Enable web search in Copilot policy, web search is readily available to customers by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and copilot app login Conversation, unless you establish the Permit the use of extra optional connected experiences in Office plan to Impaired.

Copilot Conversation is now pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, Groups, and Outlook for most users that are eligible for Copilot Chat throughout the internet, mobile, and desktop.

Admins can also alter the pinning settings of Copilot Chat for users in Microsoft Teams with the Teams admin facility: Designate an application setup plan with Copilot Chat in the pinned applications to customers with an Entra account.

The Allow internet search in Copilot plan also permits you to handle web search for individuals with a Microsoft 365 Copilot permit. To ensure people throughout your organization have very easy accessibility to Copilot Chat and can benefit from its safety and experience updates, we advise that your individuals have Microsoft 365 Copilot Conversation pinned to their navigating bar.
