If you don't configure the Allow internet search in Copilot plan, web search is available to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you set the Enable the use of additional optional connected experiences in Workplace policy to Disabled.

Copilot Chat is currently pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Groups, and Expectation for the majority of customers who are eligible for Copilot Conversation throughout the web, mobile, and desktop computer.

If you formerly chose 'Do not pin Copilot to the navigating bar' in the Microsoft 365 admin center and additionally unattended the 'Permit individuals to be asked whether they wish to pin it' option, your setting arrangement is 'Do not pin' and your users still will not have Copilot pinned in their navigating bar.

The Allow internet search in Copilot plan also allows you to manage internet search for individuals with a Microsoft 365 Copilot permit. To ensure individuals throughout your organization have very easy accessibility to Copilot Conversation and can benefit from its safety and security copilot portal login and experience updates, we advise that your customers have Microsoft 365 Copilot Conversation pinned to their navigation bar.
