If you do not configure the Enable web search in copilot Portal Alternative plan, web search is available to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you establish the Allow the use of extra optional connected experiences in Office policy to Handicapped.

Copilot Chat is now pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, Groups, and Overview for a lot of users who are qualified for Copilot Chat across the web, mobile, and desktop computer.

If you formerly selected 'Do not pin Copilot to the navigation bar' in the Microsoft 365 admin center and likewise unchecked the 'Allow users to be asked whether they wish to pin it' choice, your setting configuration is 'Do not pin' and your users still will not have Copilot pinned in their navigation bar.

To aid improve the top quality of responses, Copilot Conversation can use web search inquiries sent to the Bing search service to ground reactions in the latest information from the web. Copilot comes with a CRM, notification center, effective permission controls, and important apps for messaging, billing, file-sharing, contracts, and forms.
