If you don't configure the Allow internet search in Copilot policy, internet search is copilot app free available to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you establish the Allow the usage of additional optional connected experiences in Office policy to Handicapped.

Copilot Conversation is currently pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, Groups, and Expectation for a lot of users who are eligible for Copilot Conversation across the web, mobile, and desktop.

Admins can also change the pinning settings of Copilot Chat for users in Microsoft Teams through the Teams admin center: Assign an app configuration policy with Copilot Chat in the pinned applications to users with an Entra account.

The Enable web search in Copilot plan additionally permits you to handle internet search for individuals with a Microsoft 365 Copilot permit.
