If you don't set up the Enable internet search in Copilot policy, internet search is available to individuals by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you establish the Allow the use of added optional connected experiences in Office policy to Disabled.

Copilot Chat is copilot safe now pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Groups, and Outlook for a lot of users who are qualified for Copilot Chat across the web, mobile, and desktop.

Admins can also alter the pinning settings of Copilot Conversation for users in Microsoft Teams through the Groups admin facility: Designate an app arrangement plan with Copilot Conversation in the pinned applications to individuals with an Entra account.

The Enable internet search in Copilot policy likewise enables you to manage internet search for customers with a Microsoft 365 Copilot certificate.
