Author Guidelines

  1. Article for AKSARA covers all research in the field of education. the manuscript must be written in Times New Roman, font size 12  points, 1 space, double column, and paper size A4. Length of the manuscript must be maximum 12-15 pages according to our template and written using Microsoft Word in *.doc or *.rft format.
  2. Authors’ name (personal or team), listed with no academic degree with institution address and placed under the title of the article. For a manuscript written by a team, the editor only communicates with the corresponding author. E-mail addresses and phone numbers of the corresponding author should be included for easy communication.
  3. Articles must be written in English with the following requirement: Title, written briefly and effectively, font size 14 points, maximum 12 words for Indonesian language articles; 10 words for the English article, and capitalize each word except conjunction; Abstract, written in English and Bahasa Indonesia (maximum 200 words), containing the objectives, methods, findings and conclusions; Keywords, words or terms that reflect the article content and informative (3-5 words), are written underneath the abstract with one-line spacing and bold-tilted; Introduction (without subtitles) containing backgrounds, literature reviews, gap analysis and research objectivesMethod should clearly explained research design, research procedures/frameworks, instrument, data analysis, and relevant modification should be explainedResults and Discussion, this part should be presented in the same part which all data/results should be followed by explanation or discussion. This part should contain the explanation of research findings by comparing the relevant literature or research. The research position should be clear whether in line or contradictive to the literature; Conclusionpresented clearly by concluding research result; and Reference should use minimum 80% of primary referral sources (an international journal) of the last 10 years of publications and written in APA 6.0 style. Unpublished reference is not suggested to be cited. Manuscript should cite at least 20 article from reputable international journal.
  4. Referrals and quotations using confined referral techniques (last name, year), eg: (Miller, 1993). The direct quotation is accompanied by a description of the page number from which the quotation originates, for example: (Miller 1993: 47) and typed one spacing jutted right 5 taps, left and right flat.
  5. Tables and pictures presented follow the certain Scientific Writing Guidelines (eg, Lampung University, 2008) or directly modeled on the manner in which the articles have been published. The Indonesian article uses Enhanced General Guidelines (Depdikbud, 1987). Articles in English use a variety of standards.
  6. All manuscripts are reviewed by anonymous reviewers appointed by the editor based on their research interest or field of expertise. The authors are given a chance to make improvements (revision) of the manuscript as suggested by the reviewer or editor. Acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be notified by a letter.
  7. Authors who want to order a printed version of the article should pay the printing fee of 150.000 IDR (three hundred thousand rupiahs). In return, the author receives a copy of the article.
  8. The reference must be written in APA style 6 th edition. When writing the reference list, please
    write alphabethically, and use the following conventions.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Open access article processing charge (APC) information: 350000.00 (IDR)

Beginning January 1 2021, the article processing charge (APC) will increase to IDR350,000. Manuscripts submitted before this date will be charged the current APC in effect. The APC is payable only if your article is accepted after peer review, before publication.
