Efektivitas Penerapan Metode Penemuan Terbimbing Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa

Abstract


This is quasi-experimental research that aims for knowing the effectiveness of the implementation of guided discovery method towards of  student’s mathematical conceptual  understanding. The research design is posttets only control group design. The research population was all student of 8th grade class of SMPN 1 Katibung academic year 2012/2013 and the sample of this research are class VIII B and VIII D with choosen by purposive sampling. Based on the data analysis, it is found that student’s mathematical conceptual understanding  average and student’s learning completeness in guided discovery learning method is higher than conventional learning. The conclusion is guided discovery learning method  is more effective than conventional learning towards of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.
