PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA MELALUI PENGGUNAAN LKPD BERBASIS MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an increase in students' mathematical concept understanding through the use of Student 'Worksheet Based on Discovery Learning Model. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. In each cycle, learning is carried out using worksheet based on discovery learning model. The indicator of achievement in each cycle is that the action is said to be successful if there are 85% of students who have the mathematical concept understanding of a good category. To obtain research data, instruments in the form of a preliminary test and comprehension test of mathematical concept understanding were used at the end of each cycle. The research subjects were students of SMP Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung, Lampung Province in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year, with the sample subjects being class 9A students, totaling 32 students.Based on the results of the analysis of t he learning outcomes data, it was concluded that: 1) in cycle 1, there were 68% of students who had good category in mathematical concept understanding, 2) in cycle 2, there were 87% of students who had good category in mathematical concept understanding understanding. Thus it can be concluded that the provision of student 'Worksheet based on discovery learning model can improve the mathematical concept understanding of grade 9A students of SMP Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year.
