Berfikir Kritis Menggunakan PBM, Scaffolding Dan Jenis Penugasan
Abstract
This research was based on the low ability of critical thinking of students in IPS learning in class VIII in MTsN 1 Lampung Selatan. This research aimed to know the students' critical thinking ability using problem based learning method compared with scaffolding and project assignment type and portfolio. The research method used quasi experiment. Technique of collecting data through test. The data analysis technique used two way variance analysis and t test. The results showed that there was a difference in critical thinking skills between students who were given project assignment and portfolio. There was an interaction between problem-based learning methods with scaffolding and project assignments and portfolios of critical thinking. Critical thinking skills of assigned project students were higher than portfolio assignments. The students' critical thinking skills were higher when using problem-based learning methods with project assignments, and higher when using scaffolding with portfolio assignments.
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS pada kelas VIII di MTsN 1 Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dibandingkan dengan scaffolding dan jenis penugasan proyek dan portofolio. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu. analisis data menggunakan analisis varian 2 arah dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dengan scaffolding, ada perbedaan kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa yang diberi penugasan proyek dan portofolio. Terdapat interaksi antara metode PBM dengan scaffolding serta proyek dan portofolio terhadap berfikir kritis. Berfikir kritis siswa dengan penugasan proyek lebih tinggi daripada portofolio. Berfikir kritis siswa lebih tinggi menggunakan metode PBM dengan penugasan proyek, dan lebih tinggi menggunakan scaffolding dengan penugasan portofolio.
