PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN METODE OBSERVASI TERHADAP AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using observation method to improve students` activity and students` learning outcomes on the subject matter of flower structure and function. This study was an experimental study with research samples are students of class IVA and IVC SD Negeri 1 Sawah Lama Bandar Lampung that were selected by cluster random sampling. The research data were quantitative that were obtained from a pretest-posttest, and qualitative data were students activities that were analyzed descriptively. The result of the research data were obtained from an overall average of the students learning outcomes improvement in experimental class, that was 65,90. Students learning activity in the experimental class with an average of 76,03 has a high category. It can be concluded that learning using observation methods affected improvement of studens learning outcomes and learning activities.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode observasi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi struktur dan fungsi bunga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IVA dan IVC SD Negeri 1 Sawah Lama Bandar Lampung yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa kuantitatif diperoleh melalui pretes-postes, dan kualitatif berupa aktivitas siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil data penelitian diperoleh rata-rata keseluruhan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 65,90. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada kelas esperimen dengan rata-rata 76,03 memiliki kategori tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan metode observasi berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa.
