This journal is published by the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung as a medium for publishing the research results of researchers in the fields of biology education and biology. This journal is published three times a year (April, September, and December), the first volume was published in 2013 with the name Jurnal Bioterdidik: Wahana Expression Scientific (JBT) with ISSN 2621-5594. JBT is accredited by Sinta on level 6 starting from Volume 6 Number 1 in 2018 and 2019 JBT has changed the cover and article template. Since Volume 9 Number 3, 2021, JBT is accredited by Sinta on level 4.
Starting Volume 11 Issue 1, 2023, JBT publishes articles in English with new template of article.
