HUBUNGAN PENGGUNAAN STRATEGI COPING DENGAN PRESTASI AKADEMIK PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMA
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to find out that there was correlation between coping strategy with students academic achievement. The problem in this research was low academic achievement. Pearson product moment correlation method was used in this research. Subject of this research was 70 students of class XI who were chosen by random sampling. Coping strategy scale was used to collect the data. The result showed that there was correlation between coping strategy with students academic achievement significantly. In addition, data analysis of product moment correlation supported r.result = 0,811 > r.table = 0,306 and significant index was 0,01. Because r.result > r.table so Ho was rejected and Ha accepted.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada hubungan penggunaan strategi coping dengan prestasi akademik siswa. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah prestasi akademik yang renrdah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pearson product moment correlation. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 70 siswa kelas XI yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala strategi coping. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan strategi coping dengan prestasi akademik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment diperoleh r.hitung = 0,811 > r.tabel= 0,306 dan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,01. Karena rhitung > rtabel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.
