OnePlus Nord N200 5G
$ 240 $150 opened at OnePlus
The N200 5G, like the TCL 20 Pro 5G, does not have both C-band assistance and a CDMA radio, and its overall 5G assistance is so minimal that it's a 4G phone on Verizon. Battery life, at 9:23 in our streaming-video test, put this in the bottom half of the pack. And the Pro 5G not only does not support C-band, its lack of a CDMA radio limits its compatibility on Verizon.
Moto G Power
$ 300 $250 at Motorola
Motorola's sales pitch for this older version leads off with lengthy battery life, and our G Power did produce the second-longest battery life in our worst-case test, at 11 hours and 12 mins of continual YouTube streaming. But it also billed slower than almost every other phone evaluated, stayed months behind with Google's safety and security spots after checking for updates, and, along with the TCL 20 SE, lacked both 5G and NFC for mobile repayments.
OnePlus Nord N200 5G
$ 240 $150 opened at OnePlus
The N200 5G, like the TCL 20 Pro 5G, does not have both C-band assistance and a CDMA radio, and its overall 5G assistance is so minimal that it's a 4G phone on Verizon. The N200 did provide strong battery life, lasting 10:59 in our worst-case examination, a smoother-scrolling 90 Hz 6.49-inch. screen, and an abnormally controlled software program setup that left it with even more free storage space than any other 64 GB Android phone. It also comes with both finger print and facial biometrics. The last worked even when I used a mask, which makes me think it's not secure enough.
Nokia X100
Currently not available
The X100 is only offered via T-Mobile, but the absence of C-band 5G support must make it a non-starter for AT&T and Verizon users anyway. The evaluation X100 supplied maybe the most unsatisfactory battery-life results, lasting just 7:20 in our streaming-video examination in spite of having among the higher-capacity batteries amongst all the phones checked. Nokia does have a software-update plan uploaded-- defining "2 years of regular monthly safety updates"-- and ships an Android arrangement pleasantly near stock Android, but it's yet to ship Android 12 for the X100.
