EFEKTIVITAS MODEL REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN REPRESENTASI DAN DISPOSISI MATEMATIS SISWA
Abstract
This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of realistic mathematics education model viewed by students mathematical representation ability, percentage of students who reached mastery learning, and mathematical disposition. The design which was used was one group pretest posttest design. The population of this research was all students of grade eight of Junior High School Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2014/2015 that was distributed into four classes. By purposive sampling technique, it was chosen students of VIII C class as research sample. The data of students mathematical representation were obtained by essay test. Based on the result of this research, it was concluded that the implementation of realistic mathematics education model was effective viewed by representation ability, percentage of students who reached mastery learning, and students mathematical disposition.
Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model realistic mathematics education terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa, persentase siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar, dan disposisi matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dari empat kelas. Melalui teknik purposive sampling, terpilih siswa kelas VIII C sebagai sampel penelitian. Data representasi matematis siswa diperoleh dari tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model realistic mathematics education efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi, persentase siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar, dan disposisi matematis siswa.
