Nilai-Nilai Karakter dalam Novel The Chronicle Of Kartini Karya Wiwid Prasetyo

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the character values contained in Novel The Chronicle of Kartini by Wiwid Prasetyo and compiled as a teaching material. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Technique of collecting research data is done by using literature study or documentation study. The results show that the dominant character values appearing in novel The Chronicle of Kartini by Wiwid Prasetyo include (1) the religious values reflected in the dialogue and statements in the Chronicle of Kartini novel, (2) the value of hard work reflected in dialogue and depiction of contents in the novel the Chronicle of Kartini, (3) social care reflected from the dialogue and exposure of contents in the novel the Chronicle of Kartini. The used of novels as teaching materials with the values of the characters contained in it into the constituent element of Activity Activities Learners generated for high school students class XII.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam Novel the Chronicle of Kartini karya Wiwid Prasetyo dan menyusun sebagai bahan ajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi kepustakaan atau studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai karakter yang dominan muncul dalam novel the Chronicle of Kartini karya Wiwid Prasetyo meliputi (1) nilai religius yang tercermin pada dialog dan pernyataan dalam novel the Chronicle of Kartini, (2) nilai kerja keras yang tercemin dari dialog dan penggambaran isi dalam novel the Chronicle of Kartini, (3) peduli sosial yang tercemin dari dialog dan paparan isi dalam novel the Chronicle of Kartini. Penggunaan novel sebagai bahan ajar dengan nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung di dalamnya menjadi unsur penyusun Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik yang dihasilkan untuk siswa SMA kelas XII.
