KUALITAS KOMUNIKASI ORANG TUA-ANAK DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DI SEKOLAH

Abstract


The aim of this research was to know whether there was a significant relationship between the quality of parents-child communication and learning motivation at grade XI PGRI Punggur High School Academic year 2012/2013. The problem in this research was whether there was significant relationship between the quality of parents-child communication and the learning motivation. The samples of this research were 31 students and taken by proportional random sampling technique. Data collection instrument used in this research was scale. Based on the analysis of data obtained correlation value  at significant level of 0.05 obtained value of p = 0.000; p < 0,05; then Ho was rejected. The conclusion of this research was that there was a significant relationship. Given advices were (1) students were expected to enhance at school’s learning motivation, so they could received a high achievement, (2) parents were expected to help their children to improve learning motivation by maintain good communication with their children. (3) school Counselors should implement’s guidance service group to improve students’ learning motivation, (4) subsequent researchers should consider other variables such as parent educational level.
