PENGEMBANGAN KEMAMPUAN PROSES MATEMATIKA SISWA MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DENGAN PENDEKATAN TIDAK LANGSUNG DI SEKOLAH DASAR
Abstract
This study concerns with the development of mathematical process skill of elementary school students. It was conducted as the mathematical process skill of the students was still low. Thus, it needed an approach that was able to develop the mathematical process skill of the students and one of the approaches was Indirect Approach. This study applied classroom action research that involved eight schools and eight undergraduate students of the eight semester. The learning of the Indirect Approach applied in the study was Problem Solving, Investigation and Exploration of Mathematics. While the process skill developed in the study was inductive reasoning, critical thinking, mathematical communication, and problem solving. The result shows that the Indirect Approach applied in the learning of mathematics was able to develop the mathematical process skill of the elementary school students.
