Strategi penerjemahan bahasa Inggris- bahasa Indonesia dalam pembelajaran berbasis daring

Abstract


Penerjemahan merupakan sebuah proses yang kompleks dan masih menjadi sebuah tantangan secara kontinu terlebih mengikuti disrupsi laju pesatnya teknologi yang selalu berubah termasuk dalam pembelajaran bahasa. Salah satunya dalam bidang penerjemahan bahasa, namun masih belum banyak yang menggali penerapan strategi penerjemahan yang berfokus pada moda pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara daring. Oleh karena itu studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi penerjemahan teks bahasa Inggris ke dalam teks bahasa Indonesia yang dilakukan secara daring. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan partisipan berjumlah 30 mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka yang mengambil mata kuliah English for Translation. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara daring dengan aplikasi platform Moodle di mana data diambil dari tugas menerjemahkan paragraf, selanjutnya di kategorisasikan sesuai dengan strategi penerjemahan menurut Newmark dan Vinay & Darbelnet dan dianalisis sesuai dengan teori mereka. Hasil studi menunjukkan strategi penerjemahan yang digunakan secara berurutan intensitasnya yaitu literal, calque, reduction, borrowing, transposition, modulation, expansion, cultural equivalent, equivalence, adaptation, dan description equivalent. Implikasi dari studi ini dapat membantu penerjemah dalam upaya menerjemahkan TS ke TT sebagai opsi untuk memperoleh hasil terjemahan yang baik dan berterima.
