EFEKTIVITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TGT TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA

Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of implementatiton of cooperative learning model of TGT type viewed by students mathematical conceptual understanding. This research population was all students of grade 10^th of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2014/2015. This research sample was students of X-E class who was chosen by purposive sampling technique. This research used one-shot case study design. Based on the result of hypothesis testing, the percentage of students who understood the mathematical concepts with the cooperative learning model of TGT type was less than 65%. Thus, the implementatiton of cooperative learning model of TGT type was not effective viewed by students mathematical conceptual understanding.

Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif TGT ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X-E yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan one-shot case study design. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, persentase siswa yang memahami konsep matematis dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT kurang dari 65%. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT tidak efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis.
