PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type towards students conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population of this research was all students of grade seventh of SMP Negeri 1 Semaka in academic year of 2014/2015 and the samples of this research were students of VII-C and VII-D that were determined by cluster random sampling technique. This research design was posttest only control group. The data of students conceptual understanding of mathematics were taken by test. The conclusion of this research was cooperative learning model of group investigation type affects students conceptual understanding of mathematics.

Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation (GI) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Semaka tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-C dan VII-D yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group. Data pemahaman konsep matematis siswa diperoleh melalui tes. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.
