Efektivitas Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa

Abstract


This research is quasi-axperimental research.  The objective of this research is to find out the effectiveness of  STAD type cooperative learning model in improving student mathematical concept comprehension. This research was using pretests-posttest control design.  The population of this research was all of ten grade student in management department of SMKN 1 Bandar Lampung 2012/2013 school year.  The research samples were two classes selected from six classes by cluster random sampling. Based on the study it is concluded that there is no effectiveness in the application of STAD type cooperative learning model to improve student comprehension ability in mathematical concept as the average value of gain index was not signivicantly different.  According to achievement percentage indicator, student with STAD type cooperative learning model showed better mathematical concept comprehension than those with conventional learning.
