KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIS SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Abstract


This study aims to analyze the influence of experiential learning (EL) model on students' mathematical creative thinking skills at Kartikatama Metro Middle School. EL is one model that focuses on the experience of the learner or student in accordance with what they want to learn by leading to exploration (exploration), discovery (discovery) and creation (invention). This type of research is a quantitative pre-experimental design experiment with one-group pretest-posttest design research design. The research sample consisted of 27 students obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data collection of students' mathematical creative thinking ability is by using test instruments which contain four indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality. The test instrument was then tested for reliability and data analysis used was paired t-test. The results showed that students' creative thinking ability using EL model experienced a significant increase between the pretest scores and posttest scores seen from the acquisition of N-gain scores and the average acquisition of each indicator of creative thinking.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran experiential learning (EL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa di SMP Kartikatama Metro. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen pre-experimental design yang bersifat kuantitatif dengan desain desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 27 siswa yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa yaitu dengan menggunakan instrumen tes yang didalamnya termuat keempat indikator berpikir kreatif yaitu fluency, flexibility, elaboration, dan originality. Instrumen tes selanjutnya diuji reliabilitas dan analisis data yang digunakan yaitu paired t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model EL mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan nilai posttest dilihat dari perolehan nilai N-gain dan perolehan rata-rata tiap indikator berpikir kreatifnya.
