Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Think Pair Share Ditinjau dari Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa
Abstract
This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of TPS type in terms of students’ mathematical communication skills. The population of this study was all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Bandarlampung in even semester academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 319 students. The research samples were students of class VII-E as many as 32 students and VII-J as many as 32 students who were selected through cluster random sampling technique. The design used was the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The research data was the score of mathematical communication skills that obtained through a essay test. The results of hypothesis testing using the t -test and proportion test concluded that the cooperative learning model of TPS type was effective in terms of students' mathematical communication skills.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Bandarlampung semester genap tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 319 siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-E sebanyak 32 siswa dan VII-J sebanyak 32 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian berupa skor kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diperoleh melalui tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis yang menggunakan uji- t dan uji proporsi diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.
