Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Siswa

Abstract


This research aimed to know the influence of problem based learning model toward students critical thinking ability. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of SMP N 1 Candipuro Lampung Selatan in academic year of 2016/2017 that was distributed into six classes. The sample of this research was students of VII A and VII B class that were choosen by cluster random sampling. This research used the pretest posttest control group design. Data analysis for testing of hypothesis in this research used t-test. Based on the result of research and discussion, Problem Based Learning Model affects the students critical thinking ability.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Candipuro Lampung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 sebanyak 223 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam enam kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan the pretest-posttest control group design. Analisis data untuk pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa.
