EFEKTIVITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM SOLVING DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS

Abstract


This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of problem solving learning  model observed from mathematics problem solving ability of the students at first grade of SMPN 13 Bandar Lampung. Problem solving learning  model is a learning model which includes the steps of understanding problem, planning of solving, problem solving and recheck the correctness of the problem. The design used in this research ispretest-posttest control design. The population of this research are all students of even semester at first grade of SMPN 13 Bandar Lampung 2012/2013. The samples of the research are students of VII B and VII C class which are taken randomly. The research data was gained from the mathematics problem solving ability test. The data was analyzed by using t-test. From this research, it can be concluded that problem solving learning model is more effective than conventional learning model in increasing the mathematics problem solving ability of the student of even semester at first grade of SMPN 13 Bandar Lampung.
