PERBEDAAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF DAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA
Abstract
The aim of this research was to discuss the difference of cognitive learning outcome and critical thinking ability with guided and free inquiry learning using TALULAR. Quasi Experiment method was used in four experiments classes by analysis of paired simple t-test. From average the of N-gain for each class, the result got cognitive learning outcome categorized as medium level, between 0.402 to 0.519. For improvement of critical thinking ability, is categorized as medium level by indicators of giving simple explanation (MPS), giving further explanation (MPLL), applying strategy and technique (MST). From this research, there is a difference in improvement of cognitive learning outcomes when student learnt by guided inquiry and free inquiry without TALULAR, and with TALULAR. Otherwise, there is no difference between the improvement of critical thinking ability in guided inquiry and free inquiry using TALULAR and without TALULAR.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan inkuiri bebas, inkuiri terbimbing serta dengan TALULAR. Metode Quasi Experiment digunakan untuk empat kelas eksperimen dengan analisis uji paired simple t-test. Dari rata-rata N-gain didapatkan bahwa hasil belajar kognitif seluruh kelas tergolong kategori sedang antara 0,402 sampai 0,519. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa tergolong kategori sedang antara 0,479 hingga 0,622 dengan indikator MPS, MPLL, serta MST. Dari penelitian ini, ada perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada inkuiri terbimbing dan inkuiri bebas ketika siswa belajar tanpa menggunakan TALULAR dan menggunakan TALULAR. Namun belum tampak memberikan perbedaan pada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.
