MODEL CTL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN BERBASIS KARAKTER BANGSA
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the PKn learning process in installing character values on students. This study used a qualitative approach. Analysis of the data which was using the Interactive Analysis Model of Milles and Huberman, was accomplished through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that civics lesson had used learning model that promotes group learning activities to understand the Civics materials. The effort to instill the value of the nation characters, which is given through the cooperative approach, where as the types of the material for the approach should be adapted by the teacher based on the needs and the situation, which focuses on the applying of learning cooperative model dominated by CTL. Students learn through experience instead of memoriting by constructing the knowledge` thus creating a classroom in which students become active participants instead of passive observers, this method makes students responsible for their own learning.
Penelitian ini bertujuan, untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang proses pembelajaran PKn dalam penanaman nilai-nilai karakter kepada siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisis data menggunakan Analysis Interactive Model dari Milles and Huberman, dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran PKn telah menggunakan model pembelajaran yang mengutamakan kegiatan belajar berkelompok untuk memahami materi PKn. Upaya penanaman nilai-nilai karakter bangsa yang diberikan melalui pendekatan kooperatif, sedangkan untuk tipenya disesuaikan dengan pendekatan materi pelajaran yang dianalisis oleh guru dan terfokus pada penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan dominasi tipe Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Siswa belajar melalui mengalami dan bukan menghapal dengan mengkonstruksi pengetahuan dari siswa itu sendiri. Sehingga menciptakan ruang kelas yang didalamnya siswa menjadi peserta yang aktif bukan pengamat pasif, dan bertanggung jawab terhadap belajarnya.
