Journal History

Jurnal Pembelajaran Fisika (JPF) was first published in July 2012 with p-ISSN 2302-0105, and e-ISSN 2684-9828. In the beginning, JPF contained articles in Indonesian language concerning physics and physics learning. Between 2012 - 2017, the number of issues per year was not certain. This is because the initial purpose of JPF was to facilitate our Physics Education Students in publishing their research as a partial fulfilment of the graduation requirement. 

Since 2018, JPF has begun to commit to improving the journal's quality both in management and substance aspects. Now JPF is a publication medium for researchers, lecturers, teachers, educational practitioners, and students, from any institution, both national and international. JPF also changes the scope and focus to be more specifically related to issues of assessment and evaluation, model and strategy for physics learning, development of learning media and materials, ICT-based teaching and learning, and blended and mobile learning.

To maintain the quality of articles to be published, JPF tightens the process of accepting articles by changing the period of journal publishing biannualy, in every June and December. JPF has also been working with many physics education experts from various institutions/universities to become JPF editors and reviewers. Therefore, the editorial team and reviewers of JPF experienced changes, which initially only involved local editors and reviewers, now involving national and international level of editors and reviewers.

JPF also makes adjustments and improvements to the writing of articles, ranging from sirahan format, identity of the author, systematic writing of abstracts, citation and reference writing, as well as the substance elements of the article to be published, all clearly and completely described in the JPF template.

JPF was first published using Bahasa Indonesia, and since Volume 7 Issue 1 2019, all articles were published in English. JPF become a CrossRef Member since the year 2019. Therefore, all articles published have a unique DOI number, beginning from Vol. 7 No. 1 (2019).

Jurnal Pembelajaran Fisika has been ACCREDITED in Grade 3 (SINTA 3) based on the Decree of the Director-General of Research and Development, The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education No. 91/E/KPT/2019. The accreditation is valid for Volume 6 Issue 1 2018 to Volume 10 Issue 1 2022.
