Hubungan Kemampuan Literasi Al Qur’an Dengan Karakter Religius

Abstract


This study aims to determine the relationship between Al-Qur'an literacy skills and religious character. This research is a survey research with a correlational approach. The sample of this research was STMIK Bani Saleh students who were taken as many as 100 students. The research instrument consisted of: Al Qur'an literacy ability variables using performance tests, while religious characteristics used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data analysis was performed by normality test, regression test, correlation test, and significance test. The results of the study obtained the following data: the results of the regression analysis obtained the regression line equation 48.329 + 0.432X, meaning that the higher the Al-Qur'an literacy ability of students, the higher the student's religious character. The results of the correlation analysis with the r product moment test obtained the value of rcount 0.696 > rtable 0.194, then Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. The rcount value of 0.696 is included in the strong relationship category. The results of the significance test using the t test obtained tcount of 9.601 > ttable of 1.98. The results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination obtained by 0.485 indicate that 48.5% of the variation that occurs in religious character can be explained by Al-Qur'an literacy skills, while the remaining 51.5% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant relationship between Al-Qur'an literacy skills and students' religious character.
