PENGARUH PENDEKATAN OPEN-ENDED TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF DAN DISPOSISI MATEMATIS

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of learning with open-ended approach towards the increasing of student’s creative thinking skills and mathematical disposition. The population of this research was grade 8^thstudents of junior high school state of 7 Kotabumi in academic year of 2012/2013 that was distributed into six classes (VIIIA–VIIIF). The samples of this research were all students of VIIIA and VIIIC class that were determined by purposive sampling method. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. Based on the result of data analysis, it was concluded that learning with open-ended approach did not affect the increasing of student’s creative thinking skills but affect the student’s mathematical disposition.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran dengan pende­katan open-ended terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan disposisi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kotabumi tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang terdistribusi ke dalam enam kelas (VIIIA–VIIIF).  Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIIIA dan VIIIC yang ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh ke­sim­pulan bahwa pembe­lajaran dengan pendekatan open-ended tidak berpenga­ruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mate­matis siswa namun berpengaruh terhadap disposisi matematis siswa.
