Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TPS Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa

Abstract


This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the influence of cooperative learning model type think pair share (TPS) toward student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. Design used in this study was a posttest only control grup design. The populations in this study are all students in 7th Grade of SMPN 3 batanghari in the academic year 2012/2013. The sample are class VII.1 and VII.2 choosed by used was cluster random sampling. Data techniques collection using mathematical conceptual understanding test. Based on the result of hipotesis test by using t-test, the average of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding at class using cooperative learning type TPS is more than the average of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding that of using conventional learning. So, it was concluded that the cooperative learning type of TPS there was influence of increasing mathematical conceptual understanding of student.
