Pengembangan Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Siswa

Abstract


This research and development aimed to know the process and result (product) of the development of problem based learning and find out its effectiveness towards students' mathematical critical thinking ability. The population of this research was students of grade X in SMAN 12 Bandar Lampung academic year of 2016/2017 that were distributed ten classes. The sample of this research was students of X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2 classes which ware chosen by purposive and random sampling technique. The design was pretest-posttest control group design. Analysis data of the research using t-test and N-gain test showed that increasing of critical thinking ability. Research data were obtained through mathematical critical thinking ability test. Based on the research, it was concluded that problem based learning is was quite effective to increasing critical thinking ability.

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil (produk) pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan menguji efektivitasnya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Populasi pada Penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 12 Bandar Lampung Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017 yang terbagi dalam sepuluh kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa pada kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 2 yang diambil dengan teknik purposive dan teknik random sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group desaign. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji t dan N-gain untuk menunjukan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis.
