PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PARAGRAF DESKRIPTIF DENGAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN THINK TALK WRITE

Abstract


The problem in this research was how the increasing in the skill of writing descriptive paragraphs with think talk write learning strategy in class X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Meraksaaji Tulangbawang. The purpose of this research was to improve the planning, implementation, assessment, and the results of the descriptive paragraph writing skills by think talk write learning strategy in class X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Meraksaaji Tulangbawang. The results showed that the increasing of student activity reflected in the activities for (a) think (think), (b) talk (talk), (c) write (write). The percentage of active students in the first cycle was 56.67%, the second cycle was 70.00%, while the third cycle was 93.33%. The increasing of descriptive paragraph writing skills of students can be seen in each cycle. On the completeness, a pre-cycle of students was 16.67%, in the first cycle was 46.67%, the second cycle was 66.67%, and the third cycle was 93.33%.

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah peningkatan keterampilan menulis paragraf deskriptif dengan strategi pembelajaran think talk write pada siswa kelas X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Meraksaaji Tulangbawang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki perencanaan, pelaksanaan, penilaian, dan hasil keterampilan menulis paragraf deskriptif dengan strategi pembelajaran think talk write pada siswa kelas X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Meraksaaji Tulangbawang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Peningkatan keaktifan siswa terefleksi dari kegiatan selama (a) berpikir (think), (b) berbicara (talk), (c) menulis (write). Persentase keaktifan siswa pada siklus I adalah 56,67%, siklus II adalah 70,00%, sedangkan pada siklus III adalah 93,33%. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis paragraf deskriptif siswa dapat dilihat pada setiap siklusnya. Pada prasiklus ketuntasan siswa sebesar 16,67%, pada siklus I sebesar 46,67%, pada siklus II sebesar 66,67%, dan pada siklus III sebesar 93,33%.
